November 2022 HR Updates

For over a year now, the Trendency team been investigating trends in the HR world and American job force. Similar to what we reported back in August, the Great Resignation is still an ongoing trend as the year closes out, with 2 in 5 workers are currently looking for a new job - with younger workers and those in the service industry leading the way.

Finding the right balance for workers spending time in the office vs. working remotely continues to be a challenge for employers everywhere, with there being no one, correct approach to making employees happy with the time they spend working in the office vs. elsewhere.

What is clear is that the Great Resignation - or Great Recalibration, as some now call it - is here to stay as we prepare to say goodbye to 2022 and hello to 2023. While the percent of Americans actively looking for a new job has stayed stable over the course of 2022, there was a drop in positivity among Americans about their job situations from the beginning of the year. Employers will have to continue to find the right balance to keep their employees happy and recruit top talent.
